What happens when you paste a link

Our server asks X for that one public post so it can list the videos in it. The link is used for that single lookup and is not saved.
The video then downloads directly from X's servers to your device. It never passes through our servers and we never have a copy.
There is no account and no cookie. We count visits with a code that changes every day and cannot identify you, plus the site that linked you here and your device type, and how many lookups and downloads happen each day, with nothing about who made them.

To keep the tool available for everyone, each connection can make a limited number of lookups per hour. This uses a scrambled, daily-changing code that cannot be turned back into your address.
