Create a QR code for a website link, a Wi-Fi network, a UPI payment, a contact card, an email, a phone number, a text message or plain text. Choose colours and size, then download a sharp PNG or a scalable SVG for print. The code is made in your browser and points straight to your content, so it never expires, never redirects through us, and nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

Static codes that never expire

Many "free" QR code sites make a dynamic code: the pattern points to a short link on their server, which then forwards to your page. It works until the free trial ends, the company changes its plans or shuts down, and then every printed menu, flyer and business card stops working at once.

Every code made here is static. Your link, Wi-Fi details or contact card is stored inside the pattern itself, so a phone reads it directly without asking any server. It keeps working for as long as the thing it points to exists, and nobody, including us, can switch it off or track who scans it.

Getting a code that scans every time

  • Contrast matters most. Use a dark code on a light background. Reversed colours and pale combinations are the most common reason a code fails.
  • Keep the quiet zone. The empty border around the code tells a camera where the code starts. Do not crop it off or print text right up to the edge.
  • Size it for the distance. Make the code about one tenth as wide as the distance it will be scanned from, and never smaller than 2 cm.
  • Shorter content scans more easily. A short link makes a simpler, bigger pattern than a long one with tracking parameters.
  • Test before you print. Scan the downloaded file with two different phones, then scan a test print.

Wi-Fi and UPI codes

A Wi-Fi code lets guests join by pointing their camera at it: no reading a long password off a sticker. Type the network name and password exactly, including capitals. A UPI code opens the payer's UPI app with your UPI ID and name filled in, and the amount too if you set one. Leave the amount empty for a counter or stall code that works for any payment.

PNG or SVG

PNG is an image made of pixels, right for screens, documents, websites and social posts. SVG describes the code as shapes, so it prints perfectly sharp on a business card or a banner. Printers and designers usually prefer SVG.

What it does

  • Link, text, Wi-Fi, UPI payment, contact card (vCard), email, phone and SMS codes
  • Static codes that never expire and never redirect through another website
  • Download PNG up to about 2048 pixels, or SVG that stays sharp at any print size
  • Custom colours, transparent background and adjustable quiet zone
  • Error correction from L to H, for codes that still scan when scuffed
  • Warns about colours that phone cameras may not read
  • Nothing you enter is sent to a server

Questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The code holds your link or details directly, not a short link through our server, so it keeps working forever, even if this website disappeared. Many free QR sites create codes that stop working after a trial.

Is it really free, with no limit?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no limit on how many codes you make, and you can use them commercially, including on products, packaging and printed material.

How do I make a QR code for my Wi-Fi?

Choose Wi-Fi, type the network name and password exactly as they are, and pick the security type, which is WPA/WPA2 for almost every home router. Anyone who scans the code with a phone camera can join without typing the password.

How do I make a UPI payment QR code?

Choose UPI, enter your UPI ID (like yourname@okbank) and the name to show. Add an amount for a fixed-price code, or leave it empty so the payer types the amount. Scan it with any UPI app to test before printing.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG for screens, documents and most everyday uses. SVG for professional printing, signs and anything that will be enlarged, because it stays perfectly sharp at any size.

How big should a printed QR code be?

At least 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) across for scanning from arm's length. A good rule is one tenth of the scanning distance: a code read from 1 metre away should be about 10 cm wide. Codes holding more text need to be larger.

What does error correction do?

It adds backup data so the code still scans if part of it is dirty, damaged or covered. L recovers about 7 percent, M about 15, Q about 25 and H about 30. Higher levels make the pattern denser, so use H only when you need it.

Why won't my coloured QR code scan?

Scanners need strong contrast: a dark code on a light background. Light codes on dark backgrounds, or pale colours like yellow on white, often fail. The generator warns you when the colours you picked may be hard to read.

Is my information stored?

No. The code is created by your browser on your own device. The links, passwords and details you enter are never sent to us or saved.
