  • Million to lakh: multiply by 10. 3 million is 30 lakh.
  • Billion to crore: multiply by 100. 1.2 billion is 120 crore.

Exact, even for huge amounts

Many calculators store numbers in a way that quietly loses accuracy past about fifteen digits, which is how a budget in lakh crore can come out a few rupees wrong. This converter works with whole numbers throughout, so 12.345678 lakh crore converts to the exact rupee.
